Esch Music Academy - Discover Your Artistic Potential
"Apart from silence, Music comes as close to expressing that which is inexpressible..."

Mandate/Vision
Our primary concern at Esch Music Academy is to foster a love and appreciation of classical music in our students.

Classical music can provide the student with a wonderful forum in which to get in touch with his/her emotions, expand the scope of their imaginations, and to grow as human beings.  In an increasingly desensitized world, we feel that participating in activities such as classical music, whether directly, as in the pursuit of the mastery of an instrument or ones own composition, or indirectly by just enjoying a concert, is an invaluable tool to assist in ones intellectual and psychological development.

We are experienced professionals who are committed to music pedagogy at the pre-college level.  We aim to offer a holistic and intensive environment for students seeking to cultivate a journey of self-exploration through music.

About Us
We have dedicated our lives to music and have been in the unique position to appreciate all levels of the classical music world first hand.

Our experience in music pedagogy includes working with students of all ages and levels - from introducing babies/toddlers to the wonders of music, to coaching students working at a university level... to just about every circumstance  in between.

Students pursuing a solo instrument are encouraged to work towards goals such as examinations, competitions and private recitals to further inspire their development. Performance classes and recitals are also offered at varying points during the year for students to practice the difficult art of performance in front of their peers.

Teaching emphasis is geared towards developing the students' proficiency in a number of areas including: effective structuring of practice time - providing solutions to 'How you should practice and why you should practice that way', establishing the all-important solid technical foundation for negotiating the challenges of an instrument, and repertoire building. A strong emphasis is also placed at all levels of development upon sight reading, ear training, and quick study.

Our theory and history faculty represent some of the most dedicated and expert faculty you will encounter in the GTA.   All levels of theory/history are offerered throughout the year on a semesterly basis, preparing students for the academic compliments to their respective Royal Conservatory of Music practical examinations.

We are also pleased to offer a full slate of early childhood group music classes. Musikgarten is a product of German music education cultural programming and introduces your child to the wonders of music in a structured and engaging group setting.   This program has received great critical acclaim internationally since its inception and we are proud to have dedicated, nurturing and certified instructors of this system at Esch Music Academy.
